*Property Accountant*
*What Will You Do?*
The Property Accountant will track, monitor, and review fixed asset detail to determine capitalization, disposal, and expense.
This position will maintain the fixed asset system for the Company.
Additionally, this position will develop, implement, and perform on-going analysis of fixed asset records.
* Prepare fixed asset capitalization records – review/analyze detail, data entry and account reconciliation.
Work with the Tax Department for proper coding of assets.
Coordinate the monthly update of fixed assets.
* Develop, implement, and monitor all necessary and proper accounting controls/procedures related to fixed assets, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation.
* Generate ad hoc reporting to aid managers, departments and others as requested.
* Property Accounting for both revenue and expense leases.
* Assist in the execution of the fixed asset inventory audits.
* Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
*What Do You Need?*
* Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience, Required
* 2 years of fixed asset experience, Required
* Fixed asset principles
* General accounting principles
* Document management system
* Detail oriented
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Accurate data entry skills
* Effective time management and organizational skills
* Work independently as well as in a team environment
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Maintain confidentiality
* Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement
* Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints
* Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, internet
* Perform under strong demands in a fast-paced environment
* Display empathy, understanding and patience with employees and external customers
* Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries
