The Audit Staff Accountant works closely with managers and partners to help support our clients, and assist in performing audits for nonprofits and local governments.
This is an outstanding opportunity to develop professionally in both nonprofit and governmental auditing.
Primary responsibilities for this position will include assisting with assigned client audits, reviewing and compiling areas in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by supervisor.
The Audit Staff Accountant will also collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated efforts, fraud or non-compliance with laws and regulations.
This position will also establish and maintain effective client relationships through regular communications, including on-site visits.
and represent the firm and promote its image at a variety of events throughout the year (such as networking, vendor conferences, client events and college career fairs).

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Prior experience in public accounting preferred
CPA eligible (150 credits) preferred
CPA certification is desired, but not required
Excellent team skills, positive attitude, and high ethical standards
Excellent attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
Commitment to quality and timely completion of work
Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office and various tax and accounting software including CCH products, QuickBooks products, and research tools
