*SUMMARY*: The controller position is accountable for the financial operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
The position requires integrity, attention to detail, dependability, initiative and a commitment to embrace company values.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Duties include but are not limited to: 1.
Collaborates with President, Operations Manager and Human Resources Manager on best practices and strategic plans to improve the company’s overall financial health.

Aids the president in developing plans for growth to increase company profit while reducing expenditure 3.
Prepares and publishes timely and accurate monthly reports, forecasts, budgets and actuals 4.
Ensures that monthly journal entries and account reconciliations are prepared accurately and in a timely manner 5.
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of balance sheet accounts, revenue recognition, expense classifications 6.
Monitors cash flow 7.
Manages daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Sales Revenue and Payroll * Ensures that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable * Ensures that required debt payments are made on a timely basis 8.
Oversees and manages sales tax reporting requirements 9.
Manages and complies with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings 10.
Maintains the chart of accounts 11.
Collaborates with the other department managers to support overall company goals and objectives.

Manages the Company’s 401(k) Plan with all contributions and reporting requirements 13.
Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls 14.
Point person for troubleshooting accounting issues *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS* Controller To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard.

Knowledge of multiple math applications such as arithmetic, algebra, statistics, etc.
Language Skills: Ability to exercise excellent leadership, communication, organization, time management and listening skills.
Computer Skills: Excellent accounting software Intuit QuickBooks user and administration skills.
Must have the ability to maneuver through websites and google drive with ease.
Proficient with MS Excel and Word.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed tasks.
Ability to manage priorities and can adapt to meet the diverse needs of our customers and employees.
