We are searching for a Senior Payroll Specialist who is responsible for various accounting and operational support functions.
Primary support will be provided to the Payroll Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for bi-weekly salaried payroll and weekly subsistence processing
Serves as primary back up for weekly payroll processing as needed.
Respond to employee questions and information requests as it relates to Payroll.
Provide support to traveling employees in entering and approving timecards
Responsible for scheduling tax, child support, and union fringe benefit payments
Assist with W2 preparation and other year-end payroll reports
Respond to employment verifications and union requests
Responsible for completion of state and federal quarterly tax filings
Assist with Payroll report writing and design to provide information to Brennan management as requested.
Provide information to various auditors, including financial statement, union, state and 401(k) audits
Serve as a resource for Excel assistance and troubleshooting purposes
Qualifications:
Five to seven years’ experience in payroll processing or related field
Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office, on computers and other electronic devices
Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment and re-prioritize at a moment’s notice
Experience in working with confidential information
Professional attitude and demeanor required
