JOB OVERVIEW
Yukon Management, LLC (YML) is seeking a Pest Controller Lead to join our team in Ft.
McCoy, WI.
The Pest Controller Lead inspects, identifies, prevents, treats, controls or eliminates insects, organisms, rodents, and invertebrate pests to prevent unacceptable damage to property or presenting a potential threat to human health and well-being.
This position ensures that only approved pesticides are used in the execution of pest management.
The rate of pay is $33.
80-$34.
80 per hour + a $9.
72 health and welfare benefit (per hours paid) that is contributed into the medical insurance plan.
Benefits include paid vacation, paid sick leave (3.
33 hours each pay period), and a pension contribution of $2.
50 per hours paid (up to 40 hours per week).
The pension contribution applies to new hires after 90 days.
RESPONSIBILITIES Control of vegetation and invasive plant species in and along fence lines, parking lots, fields, natural areas, railroad rights-of-way, target pits/firing ranges, fuel depots, and other locations as required Safe mixing, transport, and application of pesticides Record keeping/data collection/data entry Operate and maintain equipment to include but not limited to pickup trucks, trailers, UTVs, mounted spray equipment, tanks, pumps, backpack sprayers, and other application apparatus Responsible for the performance of the work listed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) of the Pest Management Services contract Leads the Pest Control team Perform incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude REQUIREMENTS Must possess valid driver's license Must have or obtain valid State of Wisconsin pesticide applicator's license (minimum certification category 6 Right-of Way/Natural Areas) within first 2 weeks of employment Able to use a variety of spray equipment and manual tools Proficient in Microsoft products such as Word and Excel Proficient in Adobe Knowledgeable in internet research and data entry Must possess professional public contact skills Basic map reading/aerial photo interpretation Proper use of cellular and two-way radio communication Ability to perform strenuous physical and manual tasks in an outdoor environment for long hours in the field, including but not limited to the ability to stand, walk, and kneel Be able and willing to adjust daily schedule due to conflicts in weather or training to include working weekends Be able to work independently and part of a team Willing to use required PPE and follow company and US Army safety protocols Maintain professional attitude and appearance Ability to pass a background check and drug screen OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU At YML, we empower our employees in their careers.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The majority of work is performed in an outdoor setting and interfaces with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS SEDENTARY WORK Some tasks will be performed while sitting at a desk or a computer workstation.
SCREEN TIME Extensive use of computer screens and keyboards may be required.
The role involves working in various software applications and may require extended periods of screen time.
LIFTING & CARRYING Some physical effort is required.
The work requires routine walking, standing, bending and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Employee must maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times.
MOBILITY The employees will need to move around to attend meetings, access shared resources, and collaborate with team members.
