JOB
Under direction of the Administrator, the Land Use Specialist I/II promotes and protects the environmental health, safety and general welfare of the county citizens through regulation of the County Zoning, POWTS, Floodplain, Shoreland, Recycling, and Subdivision & Platting Ordinances.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provides information and assistance to the public concerning code and ordinance requirementsAssists with administration of County Zoning, Floodplain, Shoreland, Recycling, and Subdivision & Platting OrdinancesAdministers and enforces County Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (POWTS) ordinance and DSPS 381-DSPS 385 Wis.
Administrative CodeReviews ordinances and proposes changes when necessaryInvestigates complaints/violations of private sewage systems ordinances and issues special orders directing and requiring compliance with rules and standardsPerforms plumbing compliance inspections according to SS145.
20 and DSPS 383Files reports and conducts surveysInvestigates complaints/violations concerning Zoning, Shoreland, Floodplain, Recycling, etc.
