Duties Supervise law enforcement personnel, providing leadership in operational settings and conducting administrative actions to effectively direct and maintain an efficient organization.
Oversee police station operations, assign work and process reports.
Conduct traffic and security patrols to enforce federal, state, Department of Defense, Department of the Army and local regulations.
Investigate traffic accidents and interview subjects with knowledge of the accident or incident.
Respond to and investigate offenses against persons and property.
Question and apprehend suspects utilizing the appropriate level of authorized force.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Must meet the conditions of employment identified in Army Regulation (AR) 190-56; "The Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program,".
Prior to appointment you must agree in writing to adhere to these conditions of employment.
This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
This position requires the incumbent to carry a firearm, qualify with their assigned weapon and remain proficient in the use of their assigned weapon and police related equipment which may include chemical aerosol irritants and LESD.
The position requires the selectee possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain and maintain a government motor vehicle operator's license.
This position requires certification in the use of radar detection equipment and alcohol detection equipment.
This position requires certification in cardio pulmonary resuscitation and first aid.
This position requires you to pass the record Physical Ability Test (PAT) within 30 days of being hired and annually thereafter.
This position requires the selectee to qualify annually for the Individual Reliability Program (IRP) as explained in IAW 190-56, Chapter 3.
Incumbent may be required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and work may include mandatory overtime.
May be subject to an irregular tour of duty to cover 24 hours, 7 days a week operations.
Incumbent is required to wear prescribed uniform.
This position requires an initial and periodic medical examination to assess your ability to take the Physical Ability Test and to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must attend the United States Army Military Police School Civilian Police Academy and successfully graduate within 12 months of hire date unless selectee has an approved waiver/exception from the Office of the Provost Marshal General, IAW AR 190-56.
This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
IAW AR 600-85, a DA 5019R Condition of Employment must be signed for mandatory drug testing.
This position is designated as Mission Essential (IAW DODI 3024.
42 and DTM 17-004) position during Inclement Weather Conditions or other designed/identified emergency conditions.
