What you will need:
Masters Degree in American Library Association accredited MLS
2 years related work experience

Job Description:
Plans, organizes, manages and presents the educational, outreach and evidence-based instruction activities of Library Services.
Major Responsibilities:
1.
Prepares and presents inservices and educational outreach programs for staff and employees regarding a variety of print, non-print and electronic resources, including instruction in Internet searching.
2.
Designs, implements and teaches courses in Evidence-based practicefor library customers and staff.
3.
Provides proactive marketing and promotion of the Health Sciences Library to employees and staff via presentations and/or displays for appropriate departments or groups; develops and publishes print or electronic marketing materials.
4.
Conducts library orientation programs for library customers and students; Collaborates with Medical Education for orientation and training of resident physicians, medical, nursing and allied health students and interns.
5.
Responsible for library's literature search service to ensure timely completion of customer requests; provides in-service training regarding latest searching techniques and databases to library staff.
6.
Provides direct clinical and consumer health reference services to patients, healthcare providers, healthcare professionals and to the general public utilizing a variety of print, non-print and electronic resources.
7.
Performs other job-related responsibilities as requested.
Education and Learning:
REQUIRED Master's degree in American Library Association accredited Masters of Library Science (MLS)
Work Experience:
REQUIRED
2 years of progressively responsible related work experience.
DESIRED
1 year Health Sciences Library experience.
License and Certifications:
REQUIRED Valid Driver's License (DL)
