The Department of Corrections is recruiting to fill an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber position.
This position is based out of New Lisbon Correctional Institution (New Lisbon, Juneau County) .

Position Summary The Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber is an advanced professional nurse who is responsible for the provision of comprehensive care to well and ill incarcerated adult and adolescent populations.
The practitioner demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise in providing preventive and primary care in the correctional setting.
This practitioner educates inmates to promote wellness, prevent health problems, maintain current health, and intervene in acute and chronic illness.
This practitioner will function independently in managing the direct and indirect care of incarcerated individuals in collaboration with all disciplines employed or practicing at the institutional Health Services Unit.
The practitioner will participate in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of care and education programs and protocols used by the health care staff to meet the needs of incarcerated individuals who exhibit health problems across the continuum from prevention to complex medical and/or psychiatric conditions.
Salary Information This position is in pay schedule and range 11-01 and offers pay starting from $53.
39/hour .
Pay rates on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code.
Remote work options not available for these positions.
This position is FLSA Exempt.
A twelve-month probationary period is required.

There will be a question related to Part-Time and Full-Time work.
Full-Time work is any position with an expectation of 40 hours per week.
Part-Time is anything less than 40 hours a week, some positions might be 90%, 80%, 60% et cetera.
You would be notified of the percentage when offered an interview and would be able to choose whether to interview based on that information.
You will not be able to change your Full-Time/Part-Time selection after you apply without withdrawing and reapplying , so we encourage you to select your options based on what you might be interested in and would like to be contacted about.
