0 FTE, 80 hrs Bi-Weekly Hours will typically fall between 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday with some flexibility for night and weekend hours to accommodate special events and meeting schedules.
Position Overview: The Foundation Community Coordinator advances the mission of Winona Health by increasing community engagement and philanthropic support.
The Foundation Community Coordinator is an integral administrative and development position within the Winona Health Foundation.
This position will work closely with the Associate VP of Development to ensure WH Foundation effectiveness and efficiency.
Donor relationship management and donor development is a primary responsibility of this role.
This individual is responsible for the execution of a wide range of events/projects and must be flexible, highly organized, detail-oriented, change ready and responsive to the demands of a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Financial and Donor Management Timely and accurate tracking of donations and manage donor data within the fundraising software (Raiser’s Edge); Prompt donor acknowledgment including oral and written communication; Manage incoming donations, event registrations, process donor payments, issue receipts and ensuring excellent documentation for both WH Foundation and the donor(s); Maintain and continuously improve processes and the associated standard work to stay current with the needs of WH Foundation and our donors; Coordinate and manage planning and deployment for annual campaigns and events.
Database Management Serve as primary contact for fundraising software (Raiser’s Edge); Train staff on software as necessary; Produce reports from the database as needed and upon request; Manage and ensure data integrity.
Teamwork, Operations & Stewardship Promote a culture of generosity and gratitude; Share stories of generosity and gratitude with WH marketing professionals to tell the story of WH Foundation in our community; Track WH Foundation expenses for individual events and/or campaigns and report on outcomes (cost per dollar raised, for example); Work with the AVP of Development to track key performance indicators for operational and financial performance; Collaborate with partners in finance on monthly audits and financial tracking; Maintain a thorough understanding of WH Foundation funds (both restricted and unrestricted) and associated balances; Perform general office management duties including scheduling of events and staff, printing, copying, and departmental purchasing; Participate in planning committees for WH Foundation or Winona Health Systems events; Prepare reports and WH Foundation activity overview information for Community Engagement Committee of the Board; Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience: Skills and Abilities Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook; Wufoo and Survey Monkey.
Must possess basic graphic design skills and familiarity with desktop publishing software, InDesign and Photoshop preferred.
Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously.
Must possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
Must be highly motivated, personable, articulate and diplomatic; able to motivate individuals and groups.
Education and Experience Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in marketing, public relations, business, management or fundraising preferred.
Knowledge and experience in fundraising highly preferable.
Minimum of three years’ experience in event and volunteer management.
Experience with fundraising software preferred (Raiser’s Edge) or must be receptive to learning.
