While best known for our product and service offerings to our 8 million retail guests each week throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa, a lesser known fact is that beautiful La Crosse, WI is home to our ever expanding 140+ acre support campus.

Job Description:
As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for the development and support of Information Technology solutions to support and enable the growth of Kwik Trip in its primary objective of serving our customers, co-workers, and suppliers.
Regular tasks include:
Conceptualizing, designing, coding, testing, implementing, documenting, and supporting high quality applications
Setting organizational development strategy, application design and architecture, and ensuring security of all web sites and related applications
Observe others, learn systems, and grow personal programming skills
The primary focus is in ASP.
NET.
Qualifications:
2-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience is required, with a minimum of three years development experience
Demonstrated knowledge of application and database design, development, and implementation
Experience with ASP.
NET core (C# is preferred), HTML/CSS/JavaScript, SQL Server
Familiarity with REST API standards, development best practices, secure coding standards, mobile app development, responsive web design, unit testing and PCI guidelines are a plus.
Knowledgeable with PHP/WordPress and web server technologies would be helpful
The selected individual should possess the knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws; knowledge of all phases of system development and project management.
The candidate should possess the following: ability to be a self-starter; be self-motivated; effectively prioritize and execute tasks in order to meet deadlines; possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills; possess strong customer service skills; accurate and detail orientated; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well with users, development staff, and technical staff is essential; work with minimal supervision; manage projects from beginning to end; work in a safety conscious environment.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours with occasional evening and weekend work as needed, as well as on call rotation.
Hybrid work schedule: This position allows for a rotating hybrid work schedule with one week being 2 days, 3 days out and the following week being 3 days in, 2 days out.
Flexible work schedule: This position allows for a flexible half day every other Friday.
