The Job: As a Analyst Purchasing, you'll be part of our Industrial Global Supply Chain team working as a on-site employee.
You'll get to: Purchases and quotes all requisitioned goods and services to satisfy quality, delivery, and total cost requirement.
Commodities include, Tooling, MRO, Washers, Buy Resell, & Outside Services.
SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT Identify existing and potential suppliers capable of meeting requirements.
Submits all necessary information to Vendor Master for new supplier setup.
Promote supplier goodwill and sound long-term relations.
Encourage continual supplier performance improvements.
Maintain informational files on key suppliers.
Coordinate communications between supplier and company personnel ensuring supplier has sufficient information.
Maintain and update purchasing transaction information to allow accurate tracking of supplier performance.
PURCHASING Negotiate cost, terms and conditions in the best interest of the Company while complying with company policies and dealing fairly with suppliers.
Work with Corporate Purchasing (GSM) to define and implement commodity strategies.
Work with suppliers to meet annual cost savings and working capital gain objectives.
Process RFQ's in a timely manner to support the business needs Select supplier(s) based on evaluation of quotes and capability to meet the quality, delivery and total cost requirements of the Company.
Review requisitioner's requirements and assist with needs assessment and ensure effective communication to supplier.
Issues purchase orders ensuring complete and accurate documentation of purchase transaction.
Coordinate expediting activities to ensure timely delivery.
Respond to emergency requirements of those requisitioners, locating goods and services needed.
Coordinate notification to supplier of quality and other non-conformance occurrences.
Work with suppliers to resolve performance issues including obtaining corrective action responses.
Issue (debit) credit memos and oversee supplier returns.
Resolve problems encountered by Accounts Payable in paying invoices.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT Provide a technical resource of supplier process capabilities for Product Design in routing determinations.
Determine, in conjunction with Quality Assurance, rework processes needed to salvage non-conforming product.
Identify need for and initiate engineering changes for subcontracted operations.
Request approval of supplier changes for PPAP parts before resourcing.
LOGISTICS Make trucking and other transportation arrangements for product to and from our suppliers to ensure timely delivery while utilizing preferred carriers and minimizing total cost.
Make customer direct shipment arrangements, ensuring waivers, samples and appropriate documentation are provided.
POLICY COMPLIANCE Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
TEAMWORK Accepts job assignments and assists co-workers as needed.
Attends team meetings and follows team guidelines.
Works cooperatively to meet divisional and team objectives.
SAFETY/HOUSEKEEPING Follows all company safety procedures and reports any safety hazards or violations to Manager.
Ensures work area is neat and orderly.

You also have: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics and/or equivalent experience to be determined by Leadership.
Ability to independently exercise good judgment.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, etc.
).
Ability to understand Purchasing concepts.
Knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO14001 requirements.
PREFERRED Prior purchasing experience (1-3 years).
Good understanding of assigned goods and services.
Good negotiating skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
