JOB SUMMARY
This person is responsible for developing and automating analytical tools and data process workflows that support product engineering.
The engineering tools enable our engineering teams to model performance and develop new high-efficiency products worldwide.
In addition, this person is responsible for executing product changes within our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Configuration, and Sales tools.
This person will partner directly with our design, engineering, manufacturing, and product support teams, so success in this key person requires collaboration with subject matter experts to translate engineering and customer needs into software tools and data products.
Responsible for implementation, maintenance, and audit of configuration management and bill of material aspects maintained in several systems.
Apply critical thinking to translate design, engineering, product support, and manufacturing requirements into supporting tools.
Continuously improve engineering analytics capabilities through improved workflow efficiency, automation, documentation, and enhancements.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues with data and applications.
Collaborate with product support to understand and translate customer needs.
Collaborate with Engineering Technology Center and Network of Excellence partners to coordinate work and changes.
Checks own work and others to ensure accurate and reliable data products.
Lead projects with cross functional teams to develop and maintain analytic workflows and visualizations.
Creates data pipelines and data sets with minimal oversight.
Conducts independent data exploration to assess quality of new data sources.
Implements monitoring of data sources in production to ensure consistency of data feeding models.
Participate in Analytics Roadmap development for Product Engineering.
Develop data knowledge and capabilities of the organization by serving as a consultant to other functions.
Ability to understand and develop advanced Data Science workflows delivering Predictive or Prescriptive analytics.
Documents work and code in appropriate repository.
PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Typical office environment spending the majority of their time using computers.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent degree.
Masters in Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering preferred.
6+ years of relevant work experience in a data and analytics role, preferably for engineering analytics.
Experience with Python, R, or similar language used in statistical analysis required.
Knowledge of Product Definition and Configuration concepts preferred.
Experience with the agile methodology and concepts required.
Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence, Informatica, Rapid Miner, or other Analytics tools.
Experience with Advanced Data Science concepts such as predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Ability to travel.
Expected travel time ~ 5%.

Pay Range: $72,000- $145,000
