Dec Group is seeking a US Field Service Software Engineer.

*Summary*
The Field Service Software Engineer is responsible for commissioning, start-up, service, retrofits and training of our machines on the customer locations.
Due to our varied customer base, *frequent travel is required*.
The Field Service Engineer solves technical problems and issues independently and is face of Dec Group with our customers.
*Responsibilities*
* Participate to the commissioning and troubleshooting of complex installations.
* Participate and assist to the pre-FAT and FAT of the plants
* Configure PLCs, HMIs and decentralized field devices.
* Perform tests to verify the proper functioning of equipment.
* Assist and support the field service technicians.
* Install software updates to optimize existing machines.
* Train customers to use their equipment.
* Diagnose and solve customer problems regarding software and process
*Requirements*
* Engineering degree in industrial automation or a related field and
* Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial environment
* Master programming languages for programmable control systems (IEC 61131-3 standards).
* Great knowledge of PLCs such as Siemens (TIA Portal, STEP 7).
Rockwell and/or Allen-Bradley is a plus.
* Knowledge of GAMP5 guideline and 21CFR part 11 for electronic record & electronic signature.
* Strong service orientation and a keen eye for commercial opportunities – client experience is key!
* Ability to work with electrical, mechanical and pneumatic components.
* Dynamic, rigorous, flexible, show initiative and like challenges.
* Excellent communication skills in English.
Other languages would be an asset.
* A passion for travelling and working at customer sites (>80%)
