Are you *kind, great with details,* and *like to talk on the phone*?! If yes, then this role might be a good fit for you! *Day-to-Day:* As a part-time customer service rep for Making A Way Transport, you’ll mainly be acting as the quarterback of our business.
You'll field phone calls from customers, drivers, case workers and potential clients who are trying to coordinate transportation from here to there.
But it’s also much more than just being kind and answering the phone.
Most clients are unable to drive themselves, elderly, don’t have access to a vehicle, or cannot travel alone.
Therefore, you're helping them solve a problem of getting to the care they need! A persistent friendly attitude and the following through on details are the two most important factors of job success and job satisfaction.
*Who This Would Be A Good Job For:* The part-time position is perfect for a people-oriented person who is retired, semi-retired, or desires regularly scheduled work but not a full-time position.
Someone who is a people person, wants to be out of the house for a couple of days per week, or just wants to earn some money on the side.
They can meet the requirements below, genuinely care about other people, and like details.
If you are not these things, this is not the job for you! *What Your Day Would Look Like:* Daily you will work hand-in-hand with the office manager from 6:30am until around 11:30am to answer phones, coordinate with the drivers, use our software to plan trips and schedules for the driver, and update client information in the system.
*Duties:* 1.
Provide exceptional customer service by answering incoming calls and assisting customers with their inquiries or concerns, clearly communicating and answering all calls pertaining to client, driver and transportation needs.
2.
Maintain customer records by updating trip information, address changes, and special needs requests.
3.
Complete detailed Incident reports pertaining to customer’s complaints, driver issues, facility concerns, etc.
4.
Perform excellent “Passenger Sensitivity Awareness” characteristics such as being friendly, courteous and patient to everyone – no exceptions.
5.
Work towards peaceful resolution of conflicts, without being argumentative 6.
Maintain accurate, legible and complete paperwork on a timely basis.
7.
Operation of computer, keyboard, office phone and fax/printer 8.
Communicate effectively and professionally with customers to ensure a positive experience.
*Skills:* - Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and efficiently.
- Proficient in data entry and navigating computer systems.
- Familiarity with outbound calling procedures.
