Key Responsibilities:
* Perform all aspects of direct consumer loan processing, including the processing and funding of high priority loans within promised timeframes.
* Monitor LOS system queues to draft all types of direct consumer loan documents for completion.
* Process, fund and disburse all new direct consumer loans.
* End-of-day closing procedures, which includes balancing the national branch and securing checks and confidential data in the vault.
* Catch and fix errors on loan applications, problem solve, resolve issues, and provide mentoring to co-workers as needed.
* Provide assistance and backup to all other consumer lending personnel, as needed.
* Build and maintain solid and positive professional relationships with sales, underwriting, processing, and closing staff.
What’s required:
* Qualified candidates will be required to have a High School diploma, GED or HSED and one (1) month to one (1) year of similar or related experience.
Consumer Loan Processors have a solid understanding of credit union policies, systems, documents, NCUA regulations, and other laws pertaining to consumer lending.
The ability to make sound decisions and solve difficult problems effectively with a proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently to meet strict deadlines is a must.
* This position it full time, 40-hours a week Monday through Friday between the operating hours of 8:00 a.
m.
and 5:30 p.
m.
and an occasional Saturday from 8:00 a.
m.
to Noon.
The Consumer Loan Processor position is located at the Operations Center, in Onalaska WI, however, work from home / remote work opportunities are available after 3-6 months of employment once successfully completing all position-specific training and demonstration of consistent and satisfactory work performance.
Pay and Benefits:
* Competitive starting rate of $17.
00/hour, depending on experience.
* When bilingual in Spanish or Hmong, receive a $1.
00 / hour pay premium after completing and passing the language exam.
