Duties:
- Assist lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children with autism, special needs, and typical development
- Provide support and assistance to children in daily activities, including personal care, mealtime, and playtime
- Assist in behavior management and implement strategies to promote positive behavior
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create and maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children
- Support the lead teacher in assessing children's progress and documenting observations
- Assist with classroom organization and maintenance of materials and supplies
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
- Experience working with children with autism or special needs is highly desirable
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with curriculum development for toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children
