Red Balloon Early Learning Center is looking for a strong early childhood assistant teacher who is very energetic and has a positive attitude.
We are looking for someone who likes to follow routines but also makes learning fun and educational, to help our children meet their social and cognitive goals.
We are seeking a teacher assistant who has experience working with young children.
Pay will be based on education and experience.
Benefits are offered after 90 days of full-time employment.

Specific duties of an assistant teacher:
Assist lead teacher in creating monthly lesson plans and carry out all aspects of daily classroom programming using the Creative Curriculum.
Assist lead teacher in completing child assessments for all children in their classroom.
Assist lead teacher in preparing for parent/teacher conferences and meetings.
Assist in planning monthly field trips and parent involvement events.
Assist in managing child portfolios
Observe children following the child observation policy
Offer a program that meets the emotional, physical, cognitive and social needs of the individual children in your group.
Supervise children and ensure that all health, safety and security needs are met.
Attend all mandatory training's/meeting along with keeping up on your CEU’s
Be involved in family style meals.
Ensure that all health, safety and sanitation rules are met and followed.
Interact with children as they engage in all learning experiences
Promote positive self-image in children through body language and tone of voice.
Expectations:
Must be able to stoop, crawl, kneel, twist and bend so that a child can be attended to and interacted with.
Must be able to lift, carry and hold up to 50 pounds.
Each staff member must Read & Understand our client handbook, employee handbook and DCF licensing handbook.
Participate in orientation training.
Attend and participate in staff meeting, in-service training when scheduled.
Participate in all center activities.
Relate to and work with all staff members in a positive and affirming way.
Hold sensitive personal information confidential
Monitor comings and goings of all persons in our building.
Check ID of person picking up children you do not know.
Be aware of all health needs of children in care.
Must complete and pass a fingerprint background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.
50 - $14.
