0 FTE Limited Term Contract Cross Categorical Special Education Teacher in the Integrated Supports Program beginning second semester of the 2023-2024 school year.
Projected start date: January 22, 2024 Wisconsin certification 1801 and/or 1810, 1811, or 1830 is required.
Multiple certifications are preferred.
Prefer applicants possessing the following qualifications: • Experience with autism and EBD programming is preferred.
• Special concentration in Learning Disabilities and/or Emotional Behavioral Disabilities.
• Experience and demonstrated skills in assessing, instructing, and programming for LD and EBD students at the high school level.
• Experience working with a team of regular and special educators to meet student needs.
• Experience with developing behavior intervention plans.
• Demonstrated skills in the use of assistive and adaptive technology to support student independence.
• Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, CPR and First Aid.
Position responsibilities: • Instruction of high school level students with learning disabilities and emotional behavioral disabilities including team teaching.
• Management of all aspects of student program including functional behavior assessment, behavior plans, academic assessments, writing and implementing integrated IEP's, effectively consulting with staff and parents.
• Ability to work as part of the IEP team to appropriately place students and monitor their progress.
• Successful completion of a mandatory Job Specific Screen is required before employment.
