Do you have strong attention to detail and enjoy the inner-workings of the circuit court system? If so, Monroe County’s Clerk of Courts might have the job for you! We’re hiring for a full-time Deputy Clerk of Court Clerk.
Successful candidates will have an Associate’s degree in paralegal, criminal justice, or closely related field.
A minimum of three years clerical work with computer experience is required.
Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired will also be considered.
Our Deputy Clerk of Court Clerk assists the public, attorneys, and other agencies with information, completing forms, filings, and Court rules.
This position assists with daily case management of Court files, including creating and maintaining computer records, and complying with the statutes under the supervision of the Clerk of Court.
Our Deputy Clerk of Court Clerk schedules and re-schedules hearings as directed by Court official, prints Court calendars, monitors case deadlines, and maintains case file confidentiality.
This position assists the public with applying for US Passports, as well as, performs courtroom duties to include marking and tracking exhibits, swearing in witnesses, taking minutes of Court hearings and trials, preparing notices to parties regarding next hearing date, and referring cases to mediation, as necessary.
Starting salary for this position is $20.
26 hourly depending on qualifications and experience.
