Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and four years administrative work experience in a municipal setting.
Candidates will be responsible for completing Voter Registration System (WisVote) and Vital Records (SVRIS) training within six months from date of hire.
Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may also be considered.
The Chief Deputy County Clerk assists the County Clerk in administering the activities in the office and performs duties according to Wis.
Stat.
59.
23 in the absence of the County Clerk.
This position provides customer service to internal and external customers to include greeting, receiving, and screening visitors and customers; addressing and resolving customer questions as able; and referring complex inquires requests, or complaints to the appropriate staff.
This position performs administrative support for all Federal, State, County, Municipal, and School elections.
The Chief Deputy County Clerk is responsible for the issuance of marriage licenses and works directly with the Monroe County Board and Departments.
Starting salary is $21.
47 hourly.
