The UL Compliance manager will provide all support functions related to RTP Company product line and lab conformance to Underwriters Laboratory (UL) standards.
Candidate will coordinate activities critical to certification and maintenance of compliance (testing, certification, audits, etc.
).
Critical to function are strong organization and communication skills to ensure duties are completed in a thorough and timely manner.
Responsibilities
Manage UL testing laboratory functions.
Coordinate UL testing and calibration/maintenance of lab equipment
Communicates project status and results as needed.
Holds responsibility for defining test plans, report completion and accuracy, meeting agreed deadlines, and managing project related activities.
Understands specific test standards and product technology for scope of responsibility.
Implement testing plans for project submittals.
Organize and execute project testing plans from scope to submittal.
Manage internal audits and UL follow-up service program, including documenting and reporting.
Submit complete audit reports in a timely manner.
Investigation and education of new and/or changing UL regulations.
Coordinate all internal UL communication and system maintenance.
Manage alternate product compliance requirements as directed.
Operates with minimal supervision within defined responsibility.
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.

Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality.
Ability to complete required reports and follow-up within time expectations.
Ability to research and interpret UL standards and related requirements.

Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
Experience in lab management and testing preferred.
Quality systems and/or thermoplastics knowledge is a plus.
Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
