’s Information Technology Department is seeking a full-time Data Engineer.
This position is responsible for end-to-end management of the data lifecycle that will help in setting the direction for modeling, building, scaling, governing, and supporting a data management platform.
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead our Data Engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Snowflake, Databricks, data warehousing, machine learning, and Data Engineering practices.
As the Data Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data infrastructure to support the organization's data-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of skilled data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment.
Provide guidance and support for career development and skill enhancement within the team.
Assist to develop a data engineering strategy aligned with organizational goals.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data engineering practices.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data engineering processes.
Oversee the end-to-end execution of data engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and priorities.
Implement and enforce data quality standards and governance policies.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in a data engineering role, with at least four years in a managerial capacity.
Strong expertise in Snowflake and Databricks platforms.
Demonstrated proficiency in database architecture, with a strong background in designing and optimizing databases for MS SQL, DB2, SAP Hana, and MySql.
Robust proficiency with Snowflake and Databricks, showcasing a strong background in data warehousing and ML Ops.
Strong background in cloud architecture, Azure services, streaming APIs, RESTful APIs.
Strong understanding of Python, Pandas, PySpark, SQL, dbt, Airflow, Astronomer, Azure Data Factory.
Experience leading and managing a high-performing data engineering team.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Solid understanding of data governance and compliance.
