, are accepting applications for a Waterpark/Lifeguard Supervisor.
Ideal candidates will have previous waterpark and lifeguard experience, ability to work independently, ability to work based on the business demands of the hotel, as well as interest in growth and development in the hospitality industry.
JOB SUMMARY: The Lifeguard Supervisor oversees the lifeguard staff to ensure the safety and guest experience of our customers.
Oversee the maintenance and order and cleanliness of park areas as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure lifeguards perform duties according to the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Program standards
Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate to Lifeguards any special events, changes in procedures or general information
Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, oversee staff assignments, and develop team members to improve department performance
Maintain proper rotation of lifeguards in conjunction with business demands; fill in rotation if necessary; complete the rotation log
Perform daily equipment checks and facility walk through, reporting all adverse findings to maintenance
Respond to guests’ incidents and injuries, documenting all incidents appropriately on the Guest Injury Report form; maintain accurate files of all Guest Injury Reports
Follow all OSHA standards and maintain up-to-date MSDS binder for all chemicals used within the department; educate and train all team members in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and safety regulations
Maintain professional hotel image, including cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
Ensure customer service in all areas; respond to complaints and take appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into returning guests; investigate and resolve service complaints
Assist other departments as required and additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma, or equivalent
5+ years working in a lifeguard role
Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
Experience managing teams of people
Completion of the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Program
Demonstrated professional demeaner with exemplary verbal communication skills; ability to resolve guest and team problems creatively and in a positive manner
Ability to prioritize tasks and successfully manage multi-tasking situations
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness
