Description
The School District of La Crosse is accepting applications for a School Nutrition Manager at Emerson Elementatry School.
This position is for 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.
m.
- 2:00 p.
m.
Hours may be reduced or increased if participation is different from what is anticipated.
Projected start date: August 20, 2024
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVES:
Manage school nutrition programs following District policies, procedures and methods.
Cooperate with other District staff to promote the program’s educational values.
POSITION CHARACTERISTICS:
Recruited by: Supervisor of School Nutrition Programs
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and schedule determined by negotiated agreement.
Ten months, SNA Level 3 Certification within 18 months of employment
POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Supervisor of School Nutrition Programs, School Nutrition Specialist, and Building Principal.
Coordinates with: District Nutrition Managers and School Nutrition Teams
Supervises: School Nutrition personnel in assigned schools and sites

Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
A.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Two years of college preferred.
B.
Specialized experience or education and training in school nutrition management is required.
C.
Level 3 Certification by the School Nutrition Association is required.
Basic clerical and technical skills required.
D.
Maintaining certification is the responsibility of the Nutrition Manager.
The Nutrition Manager is the leader of the Nutrition Program at their site and must stay current in their knowledge of School Nutrition best practices.
E.
Due to the physical demands of the position, successful completion of a mandatory Job Specific Screen is required before employment.
