Adult Family Home Assistant Manager

Chileda's goal is to help students increase their appropriate social behaviors and develop independent living skills, through an enriched learning environment and individualized behavior programming.
We are now accepting applications for an Adult Family Home Assistant Manager.
Summary:
Chileda's Adult Family Homes consist of homes in the community where residents live and learn to become more independent in all facets of life.
The AFH Assistant Manager provides direct care to clients and assists the Program Director with managing and supervising the assigned house to ensure meaningful and viable programming is being implemented which includes recreational activities, skill development on Individualize Service Plans (ISP), including proper implementation of all communication, behavioral and living skills training.
Status Info:
This is a FT, hourly role that comes with Chileda's generous benefits plan.
Skills:
Our ideal applicant will demonstrate behavioral skills and judgement conducive to role modeling appropriate skills for resident.
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills, intermediate computer skills and the ability to lead a diverse group of employees.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Job Duties Include:
Collaborate with the AFH Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Adult Family Home.
Help residents take prescribed medication, coordinate with pharmacy for medication management.
Maintain open communication with parents/guardians, and care team.
Fill in on emergency basis or when caregiver opening arise.
Flexibility to work on short notice and work all 3 shifts is required.
Ensure AFH Caregivers are completing their assigned duties (see job descriptions) by providing positive and corrective feedback on a regular basis.
Ensure all staff working with residents are implementing the Individualized Support Plans as written.
Education Requirements:
3 years of supervisory experience with persons with developmental disabilities in licensed care.
A bachelor's degree in a human services field is preferred.
Starting wage may be higher depending on having a related degree or experience.
