JOB SUMMARY
The role of Knitting Operations Manager oversees all of the Knitting department including: Twisting, Flat & Circular operations, department waste and cost control, inventory control, product development management, quality management, and personnel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide and direct Knitting Operators, Laundry and Warehouse
Assure a safe, clean and enjoyable work environment
Assure compliance with all company policies
Hire and train all knitting personnel
Administration of time and attendance slips
Attend weekly management meetings
Manage production goals and workflow
Work order management
Assure proper training and development of employees to company standards
Assure quality standards are being met
Work with design to make products that meet their specifications
Assure sample construction is accurate and efficient
Warehouse receiving and inventory control
Department budgets
Other duties/responsibilities as assigned, or apparent.

Ability to lead a team to meet certain objectives with at positive attitude
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to analyze data
Proficient in Microsoft Office and working with data bases
Attendance is an essential function of the position
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
BA/BS in business Management or equivalent experience in manufacturing leadership role (preferrable knitting production)

CONTACTS: Internal – Continuously (67 - 100%) External – Rarely (1 – 5%)
Contacts involve giving or exchanging information of a limited controversial nature.

Required to stand for 8-10 hours at a time
Operates a knitting machine or loads programs
Operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine and printer.

Occasionally
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Knitting Floor noise level is medium due to knitting machines running
Standard office environment.
The noise level is usually low, due to office equipment.
