This thirty year old guitar looks like it just left the factory.
There are no signs of any actual play-wear.
The stunning Fireglo finish is polished and clear.
All chrome hardware looks immaculate with no tarnishing.
The frets show no signs of wear.
The tuners work perfectly, as do the electronics.
Everything on this guitar is original, except for the strings.
This instrument is number 673 of 807 right-handed Fireglo models manufactured, and was completed March 5, 1992.
Included is the original hardshell case along with all original accessories, including the signed Certificate of Authenticity.
I’m also including two new sets of Rickenbacker strings.
I bought this guitar new from the dealer in October 1993 – it is a one owner, barely used, pristine guitar.
The few other 660/12 TPs being offered are not as clean and are asking $7,200 or more.

Rickenbacker Model 660/12TP
The Tom Petty Limited Edition, Model 660/12TP, was entirely hand made in America from solid "charactered" Eastern Rock Maple with a fully inlaid 21 fret rosewood fingerboard.
Using neck through body construction, this 12-string instrument features "checked" binding, vintage pickups, vintage knobs, gold pick-guard and nameplate, vintage keys designed to Rickenbacker specifications, trapeze tailpiece and a 12 saddle bridge.
The neck on the 660/12TP was designed to Petty's demanding standards.
A Rickenbacker vintage case is included with each instrument.
The instrument was available in Fireglo and Jetglo (gloss black).
The company previewed the instrument at the 1988 Summer NAMM show in Atlanta.
The model was formally introduced at the 1991 Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim.
Rickenbacker manufactured only 1000 of these instruments.
Each guitar was accompanied by an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity and Origin.
