is passionate about organic food and our cooperative’s mission.
This is a dynamic opportunity that
will allow you to learn and explore within a variety of digital marketing efforts across websites, email,
digital coupons and search engine optimization (SEO).
What You’ll Be Doing
o Develop processes for maintaining, optimizing and updating content and website features and
functionality across devices.
o Develop website content and support web marketing strategies to support Organic Valley and
Organic Prairie brands.
o Maintain and update website content and coordinate the creation of new web content in
conjunction with other internal departments to ensure all online activities are integrated.
o Collaborate with designers and agency partners to create new content and graphics that adhere to
brand style guidelines for use on websites and other digital channels.
o Analyze and compare campaign results to key success measures and deliver reports on digital
content activation effectiveness.
o Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager in developing and implementing SEO strategies
and make recommendations for channel optimizations and lead generation tactics to grow
influence.
o Learn and stay abreast of industry trends to provide a best-in-class experience for our online
consumers.
o Research buyer personas and make recommendations for key messaging across digital marketing
channels.
o Curiosity to understand the customer journey through analytics and heat mapping tools and
make recommendations for optimizations.
o Presentation to senior leadership and intern cohort at the end of the summer.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
o Collaborate with other members of the Integrated Marketing team and fellow interns to support
digital marketing efforts across diverse practices and platforms.
o Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
o Enrolled in post-secondary education within one year or less from graduation, with a focus on
branding, marketing or journalism highly preferred.
o Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively with others and under limited supervision.
o Excellent organization skills.
o Ability to switch focus quickly and comfortably.
o Experience coordinating the creation content for web, email or social preferred.
o Ability to analyze data and develop meaningful insights with stakeholders.
o Experience or classwork with HTML/CSS highly preferred.
o General knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Ads, SEMRush and other
analytical tools.
o Professional and/or personal experience with organic food, farming, sustainability, or health and
nutrition highly preferred.
Internship Program Overview
o Furnished housing provided in downtown La Crosse, Wisconsin.
o Program concludes after 12 weeks (first week of June start date).
o Engaging and project-based experiences with a leading organic food brand.
o Experience our mission first-hand on an Organic Valley farm tour.
o Understand the impact and importance of your role through a specially designed New Hire Orientation course.
o Network and learn from our business leaders in a "Learn The Co-op Series".
o Various intern group events held throughout the summer.
o Interns are paid hourly for time worked.
o Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work.
