Now is your time to come into the spotlight! Thern has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager in our rapidly growing stage equipment business.
Responsibilities: include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Fearlessly and relentlessly pursue new business opportunities in the stage equipment market.
Support existing customers and business partners in a manner to meet/exceed sales and marketing objectives.
Manage, develop, and assist distributor partners in ways that increase loyalty, revenue, and profitability.
Qualify customers and prospects using established criteria related to customer type, market segment, discount level, credit terms, and other key categories.
Coordinate with teammates to identify potential projects through iSqFt, ConstructConnect and other tools.
Provide product and application training and develop on-going strategies and action plans to drive growth and profitability.
Develop relationships with theatre consultants and architects to encourage the specification of Thern equipment.
Assist in the development of product and service-based solutions for our customers.
Coordinate the release and promotion of new products and services with assistance from Marketing and Engineering to defined market and customer segments.
Provide support to customers as necessary after the sale to maintain a positive relationship and ensure the solutions provided continue to satisfy customer requirements.
Assist with market research, customer surveys, competitor analysis, and other activities as necessary to explore and understand market segments to develop go-to-market strategies.
Assist with the execution of marketing plans as required.
Coordinate the distribution and use of marketing materials; instruct customers and distributors in the use of web-based tools; and coordinate trade shows and events, as necessary.
Provide a timely and complete response to customer and prospect inquiries, document customer requirements and verify product selection according to established procedures.
Provide verbal or written proposals for product and service-based solutions as required and complete follow-up tasks as appropriate according to established guidelines.
Document customer orders according to established guidelines and assist with order management to ensure on time delivery.
Qualifications: Ability to travel as required to fulfill job requirements and perform other sales functions.
Read, analyze, and interpret technical specifications, or governmental regulations.
Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
Ability to calculate discounts, gross margins, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Must be able to work in a team environment and be able to balance both team and individual responsibilities.
Demonstrate verbal and written skills to communicate clearly and persuasively in both positive and challenging situations.
Manage difficult or emotional situations by soliciting feedback and focusing on resolving the issue rather than placing blame.
Ability to solve complex problems and manage a variety of variables in situations with limited firm information available.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and be able to utilize Microsoft Office products.
Education: Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university; and/or five to seven years related experience and demonstrated success.
