About the Role
As the Shift 1 Production Team Leader II,
you will be responsible for leading team members at our World Class Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Winona, Minnesota.
As you start your career with Watlow you will build a foundation in continuous improvement while growing your operational expertise and leadership skills.
In your role you will learn how to lead teams, ensure your team is safe, a quality product is being produced, budgets are on target, products are going out on time, and we are keeping customers delighted.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Ensuring areas are staffed accordingly, understands work flow and daily demand
• Working with internal and external customers to meet quality guidelines and expectations by using RCCA - root cause corrective action
• Assisting with determining scope, budget, and implementation timeframes of assigned projects
• Developing strong relationships and provides effective communication, prioritization, and alignment
• Serving as a mentor and role model, identifies team member development needs and provides career coaching
• Managing time and attendance
• Collaborating with senior manager and Human Resources on team staffing decisions and employee relations
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and/or related experience in manufacturing environment with leadership responsibilities (5-8 years)
• Project management experience
• Must be able to work off shift and Saturdays as required
Desired Qualifications
• Technical certification preferred
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels including verbal, written and email
• Experience working with and developing teams
• Clear understanding of “servant leadership” mentality
• Coaching skills to develop team members in all aspects of manufacturing management
