Our main goal is to provide excellent customer service – and our valued employees are how we achieve that! This Role Is Responsible For: Combining body & paint experience (1 year minimum).
Identifying and resolving parts required for repairs, reviewing repair orders, body shop managers estimate notes, following warranty guidelines, and notifying supervisor of any repair add-ons required.
Adjusting, replacing, and repairing all series of makes/models (ex: sheet metal repairs, fiberglass/panel repairs, fabrication & structural welding, installing and aligning truck cab body components, electrical & mechanical repairs, etc.
).
Road testing vehicles when necessary to ensure quality repair.
Maintaining current knowledge of job and technical skills including truck manufacturer's repair process Performing work as outlined on repair estimates with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
Having the ability to disassemble and inspect for additional or hidden repairs.
Advising body shop estimator of additional damage or supplemental needs or if repairs will not be completed on time.
Leading work of any apprentice technicians and maintaining ASE certification Being proficient in the use of pneumatic power tools and other hand tools.
Having the ability to understand and follow safety procedures in accordance with EPA requirements.
Having a track record of working in a fast-paced environment, completing work with a sense of pride.
Performing other duties assigned by a manager/supervisor; being adaptable.
Requirements: REQUIRED: Minimum of 1 year experience as a body shop technician on Class 6-8 vehicles or in light-duty/automotive field.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to submit to and pass background check and drug screening test.
Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
Ability to pass an annual fit test.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent customer service, verbal, written, and communication skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
A positive team attitude is a must! ·PREFERRED: Class A CDL.
Technical degree.
Specializing in specific areas (i.
e.
sheet metal repairs, fiberglass panel repairs, structural welding, installation, alignment, electrical, etc.
) is a plus!
