*Position Summary: *
The Fire Suppression Technician is responsible for performing scheduled or unscheduled maintenance and inspections on fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, industrial paint booth systems and hood systems.
This position assumes direct responsibility for providing outstanding customer service and contributing to overall departmental success.
*Primary Responsibilities: *
* Performance of daily, weekly, monthly and/or annual/semi-annual inspections of various fire extinguishers, kitchen hood suppression systems, industrial paint booth systems and emergency lighting
* Repair, replace, recharge of various fire extinguishers and kitchen suppression systems
* Ensure work and customer satisfaction are maintained at every step of the project
* Pursue new customer relationships in the MWSCO territory
* Plan, honor and adjust daily work schedule for efficiency and on-call responsibility
* Ability to work independently
* Maintain all maintenance and upkeep of assigned company vehicle and equipment
* Assist the scheduling and completion of job duties
* Follow MWSCO safety policies, procedures, and goals
*Educational and skills requirements:*
High school diploma or equivalent required.
NAFED certification required within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge of fire suppression industry preferred.
A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is a requirement of this position.
*Travel and Scheduling Requirements:*
* Daily out of town travel to service the MWSCO market area.
* Out of town and overnight travel for customer projects and/or training as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $53,000.
