_Quality Inspector _
We are looking for a responsible Quality Inspector to check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as production procedures.
You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business.
The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed.
In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential.
The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment.
That way our customers will enjoy high-quality product so that we can achieve long-term success.
*Responsibilities*
· Assist in secondary when available
· Audit and inspect painted castings
· Back-up for article inspections
· Calibrate measuring equipment
· Check tooling
· Create and update manufacturing instructions
· Customer/Vendor phone calls
· Designated 1st article sample mailer
· ECO documentation designator
· Final inspect Product
· Inspect incoming inserts
· Inventory and the end of every month
· Keep QA Lab neat and orderly
· Print up final inspection stickers
· Return material authorization
· Start/First/Last part inspection lay-outs
· Tooling inspection sheet distribution/control
· Train production employees on quality standards and criteria
· Update final inspection sheets and labels
· Walk through inspections
· Write defective material notices (DMN’s)
*Quality Assurances: *Maintain quality for castings, trimming, and final product.
Educate trimmer, machine operators, wheelabrator, and secondary employee's on the quality criteria needed to be met with all parts produced as well as help maintain quality specifications on each part.
*Physical Requirements: *Walking, standing, sitting, bending, twisting, lifting, packing, reaching.
*Machine Use Requirements: *Telephone, fax machine, time clock, copy machine, CMM, computer, height gage, caliper, depth micrometer, micrometers.
*Knowledge/Educational Requirements: *High School Diploma, CMM Training, Computer training, good communication skills, training in the use of height gage, caliper, micrometer.
