If so, Volk Field is hiring a Telecommunications/Network Manager to provide advanced technical assistance, consultation, project management, and support for analog and digital telecommunication services used Volk Field office networks and transient customers.
This is a State of Wisconsin civil service position.
No military experience required.

Position Summary Under the general supervision of the cyber transport NCOIC, this position provides advanced technical assistance, consultation, project management, and support for analog and digital telecommunications services used by Volk Field office networks and transient customers.
This position will support voice and data communications services through technical consultation and the provisioning and support of specialized data and voice circuits, and telecommunications systems and services.
Such systems and services include but are not limited to: Voice services, toll-free service, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), data circuits, cellular, wireless, call centers, Call Pilot, individual and whole office move/add/changes, repairs, directory listings, and calling cards.
The position designs, deploys, sustains, troubleshoots, and repairs standard voice, data, and video network infrastructure systems.
Performs, coordinates, integrates, and supervises network design, configuration, operation, defense, restoration, and improvements.
Analyzes capabilities and performance, identifies problems, and takes corrective action.
Fabricates, terminates, and interconnects wiring and associated network infrastructure devices.
Salary Information Starting pay for this position will be $34.
00 - $39.
00 per hour, $70,720 - $81,120 annual, plus an excellent benefits package.
For current permanent state employees, pay will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.
This position is included in pay schedule and range 07-34.
A 12-month probationary period may be required.
Job Details All applicants will be required to allow the DMA to conduct a background clearance check to gain access to the installation.
Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a federal Common Access Card (CAC) for gaining access to federal computers and networks.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret clearance within 12 months.
Must possess or be able to obtain a CompTIA Security + certification within 6 months.
Must be able to travel to remote locations periodically.
All new employees are required to attend a New Employee Orientation course on the first business day (Monday; Tuesday if Monday is a state holiday) of their first pay period.
Qualifications Candidates who meet minimum qualifications will: Serving in an administrative or support role for an IT or telecommunications system or enclave, and responsible for project successes for failures.
Performing basic maintenance, testing, configuration, and technical support of hardware, software, or telecommunications equipment Communicating with and providing outreach to a diverse array of stakeholders and customers, including federal, state, and local government agencies In addition to the minimum qualifications, well qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following: Experience forecasting future requirements based upon total cost of ownership prior to failure.
Experience working in group to complete complex and time sensitive project implementation and deadlines.
Performing advanced maintenance, testing, configuration, installation, and technical support of hardware, software, or telecommunications equipment.
Understanding of mission capabilities, Local, Air Force, and Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines, and standards as it relates to the communication and cyber within DoD.
