Job Summary: Trane Technologies is hiring a Materials Project Manager in La Crosse, WI! The incumbent will be responsible for the planning and commissioning of a new warehouse to serve growing business requirements.
Critical success factors for this role include development and optimization physical warehouse layout, acquiring material handling equipment and devices, defining transportation routes and material staging areas, and maintenance of PFEP data.
This role requires commitment to lean manufacturing principles, adherence to visual management standards, and development of Oracle and Apriso systems.
The incumbent is highly focused with a strong presence on the factory floor and interfaces with production managers, supervisors, team leads, manufacturing engineers and stock-keepers.
This role is On-site.
Responsibilities: Develop systems and strategies for sustaining material delivery methods throughout the facility.
Optimize material delivery processes by analyzing workflow, space requirements, equipment requirements, storage and conveyance methods.
Create visual management schemes and replenishment triggers to enable operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain standard work for managing, sequencing, and troubleshooting interplant logistics.
Ensure staff is well educated, well-informed, and following standard work.
Assist in the design, development and procurement of material handling equipment required for warehouse management and lineside material staging including storage racks, customized carts and skids, returnable packaging, and powered industrial vehicles.
Maintain efficient workflow by planning warehouse layout, product flow, and product handling systems.
Evaluate and recommend equipment as needed.
Ensure ergonomic and safe conditions for loading, unloading, and delivering material to production areas.
Actively participate in layered safety audits and behavior-based safety programs.
Manage master planning data for Plan for Every Part (PFEP) including packaging, storage and delivery of material.
Participate in phase-in / phase-out programs and new product introductions.
Problem-solve top issues causing material issues / outages in production; implement solutions and facilitate activities to improve material availability.
Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 7+years of experience in manufacturing and supply chain functions.
Experience with rate-based or flow line (non-MRP) and job shop manufacturing environments.
Experience in operations management, inventory management, and lean manufacturing.
Experience with visual management tools, ERP and MES systems.

Base Pay Range: $105,000-$140,000.
Total compensation for this role will include an incentive plan.
