I have an Toyota Sequoia SUV with a failing stereo.
The CD Player quit working and a front speaker can rumble sometimes.
I was reviewing the many new options and ended up finding a great new stereo in a box.
I would like to replace it.
If this doesn't work, we will go out and buy another new stereo together and install that instead.
I used to do everything myself, but I am getting older now, my hands are larger and don't work in small, tight places as well -- hence, I would like someone with some electronics / car stereo INSTALLATION Experience.
__ REMOVE the old Stereo and NOTE the WIRING SETUP to paper and camera beforehand.
: ) __ INSTALL THE NEWER STEREO and WIRE TO THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS if possible.
__ TEST ALL SPEAKERS and Main Unit CD, MP3 Player, FM, program anything that needs done.
(easy) __ Possibly help me diagnose and replace the two front Tweeter Speakers, or any that are rumbling IF NEEDED.
__ Verify we have a working AUX IN INPUT for external devices I have.
__ Any other modifications we agree would be interesting -- if you have additional ideas.
: ) __ Do as much, or as little, as you can do well.
You do not have to be perfect, I am just trying to get this in and make music.
I have a large, flat driveway, but no working garage at this time.
I'd like to schedule a warm, dry afternoon and let you work on changing it out and testing.
I am educated, helpful if you need anything, otherwise you can work while I do other indoor work.
Or I can drop the SUV off and wait at your heated garage location.
I have a phone and laptop.
Reply with your Car Stereo Installation experience, anything else you would recommend, price to install this or an hourly rate (within reason) and we will go from there.
Price is important.
This should be pretty straightforward, especially for someone that has old SUV INSTALLATION Experiences I do not have an additional speaker wiring Harness, but it is all there now, likely Factory, that we can hopefully document and just wire up again with the new radio.
I could use some simple help.
