We are seeking a passionate individual to join our Early Care and Education Team who values the work of early childhood professionals, understands the challenges the field faces, and believes in the crucial economic and importance of child care.
The Child Care Advocate will work with all child care stakeholders to support and uphold this crucial profession.
Principle duties include supporting child care business start-up, helping families find suitable quality child care, providing training and technical assistance to early childhood professionals and promoting community and business child care partnerships.

We are looking for someone who is a problem solver, an innovative thinker and can work well independently as well as with others to plan programming and achieve outcomes.
Minimum qualifications: knowledge of and experience with child care rules and regulations, Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or similar field, experience in a child care setting, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and familiarity with database applications, current driver’s license and proof of adequate car insurance, access to reliable transportation.
Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or similar, three years of experience in a child care setting with priority given to applicants with administrator/director experience, understanding of effective advocacy practices, and proven outcomes collaborating with businesses and community stakeholders.
Physical requirements; ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds, ability to operate a computer for extended periods of time (2-3) hours and ability to sit for up to 6-8 hours.
