Head Start Lead Teacher - Waukon, Iowa

Current Lead Teacher Opening in : Waukon, Iowa Responsible for oversight and leadership of the classroom team, including supervision of staff and for delivering services outlined in Head Start Performance Standards and other applicable regulations and standards.
Encourage and help children gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed at home, school, and the community.
Lead the classroom team to promote the social, emotional, physical and cognitive development of children ages 3 to5 and encourage parent involvement in all aspects of the program.
Target Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development; Bachelor’s Degree in Education with an Early Childhood Education endorsement or Bachelor’s/advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with experience teaching preschool-age children.
Minimum Qualifications: AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development with pre-school teaching experience.
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal record checks.
Pay is based on degree and experience.
